2015年11月，吉美瑞生首席科学家左为教授在国际冷泉港亚洲大会——呼吸生理与病理分会（The Cold Spring Harbor Asia conference on Development and Pathophysiology of Respiratory Systems）上作开场报告，详细介绍了关于肺脏再生医疗的临床前和临床试验进展。

2015冷泉港亚洲会议在位于上海以西约60英里的苏州举行，会议主题包括关于多种生物呼吸系统的最新研发进展，及相关的八场演讲汇报和一场讨论会。大部分讨论将以科学价值和相关性为基础，从公开提交的摘要中选取主题。

中华医学总会名誉会长钟南山院士出席大会并作重要报告。同时对吉美瑞生正在从事的干细胞治疗间质性肺病做了高度评价并提出若干实际操作中的具体建议。

会议背景介绍：We are pleased to announce the Cold Spring Harbor Asia conference on Development and Pathophysiology of Respiratory Systems which will be held in Suzhou, China, located approximately 60 miles west of Shanghai. The conference will begin at 7:00pm on the evening of Monday November 16, and will conclude after lunch on November 20, 2015.

The conference will include eight oral sessions and one poster session covering the latest findings across many topics in respiratory biology. Many talks will be selected from the openly submitted abstracts on the basis of scientific merit and relevance. Social events throughout the conference provide ample opportunity for informal interactions.
